Hi,

Up until a week ago I wasn't really showing very much just looked like i'd had the extra cheeseburger or 5.

Anyway now its really clear, its like I have popped and i hurt, my back has started to ache, but my stomach aches and pulls along the side, I cannot get comfortable at night, I have found lying on my side with a pillow helps but I still ache.

I went for a walk today and my hips and pelvis ached, I don't remember it being like this last time until right at the end.

anyone else??????????

I think it is completely normal. I had these pains this time around, but didn't have them with my first. Think it is cos the muscles have all been stretched so much already .

Hi!

It's pretty early on for me, but I've had super achy hips and pelvis for 2 weeks now...particularly first thing in the morning! My doctor told me it was the ligaments etc stretching, which was reassuring

Still hurts though!!!

Hi FionaO,
You aren't the only one, I am experiencing the same thing. I have found that heat or a bit of massaging to move baby seems to ease it a bit. I have been measuring tummy for a bit of fun and am currently growing at a rate of about 1cm per week. Suppose it should come as a surprise that my muscles are aching with that amount of stretching going on.

If your hips and pelvis are really sore it might be worth getting it looked at. My first pregnancy I had a lot of pain in my lower back and pelvis and put up with it thinking it was 'normal' pregnancy pain. But turns out my hip was out all along Caused a lot of problems in the months after birth too before I finally saw a chiropractor and got it sorted.

This time I'm going to the chiropractor regularly - my hip is already causing problems at 17 weeks - pelvis and back pain again. My chiropractor puts everything back in the right place every few weeks and there are certain things I need to do/avoid to not make it worse. And have a belt to wear to hold my pelvis together lol.

Anyway, point is if you are in lots of pain don't put up with it thinking it's normal like I did!
