Hi Everyone,

Just wanting to ask if anyone knows a good midwife on the shore any recommendations would be nice as it's my first time to be pregnant after 8 long years of waiting,unexplained case, plenty rounds of clomid and 2 failed ivf's (fresh and frozen). I wanted all the best there is for this pregnancy and baby! Thanks in advance...

I loved the care I received from Cherie Davis from close to nature midwives but didn't birth with her (emergency c-section after an ECV).

She was really good at handling my paranoia after a previous miscarriage and understood that sometimes I needed extra reassurance!

I'd go with Mel's recommendation

But I'll just say that I had Denise Johnson ( denise@djmidwifery.co.nz) for the short time I was pregnant and she was so lovely. After I'd found out about my missed miscarriage, she personally came over to my house with some scan photos from the first scan ,and had a beautiful chat with me.

I recently emailed her asking for a GP recommendation in Takapuna area (that has an interest in obstetrics if possible) and she gave me some contacts and also said she'd like to meet up for lunch to give me pre conception advice. She is really lovely.

Phantom from the October thread has just used her so she could tell you more about her
