Just wondering what people do when they're going out and TT... I just started TT DD2 and it's been a breeze so far - she pees and poos on potty without any reminders from me and hasn't had any accidents since we started a few days ago (maybe she's been ready for awhile) ... but we are out to a show this afternoon so have a fair drive and then an hour long show... so do I put her a nappy on her or just take her when we get there and after? Sorry if this is a stupid question, it's just millions of years since DD1 was TT so can't really rememeber what happens... TIA

Gosh we have been TT this week and only just had our first success this morning since I put the potty in front of the TV!!
Congrats though on doing so well.

Jack is off to kindy this morning so I am putting him on undies then a MCN over top as he is not likely to remember to go to the toilet. I figure the nappy will catch the accident but by having undies on underneath he will still feel wet if he doesn't go to the toilet.
Maybe you could do the same as well as taking her periodically to the toilet when you can at the show as well as before and after the car ride. Good luck
Lindsey

The good old TV eh... we tried TT a few months back and the TV was the only way she'd sit for long enough to catch a pee...
I had thought I could use a nappy without the inserts then it would be a little more absorbant than just undies...
Hope Jack goes well with it at kindy

The first few trips out for us, I put him in "special undies" pullups - with his favourite character on them lol.

We treated them as undies - like if he needed to go while out we still hunted out the toilet, but it made me feel better about it!

However i think a week later he was refusing to put them on - but im just aware of where we go, and where the toilet is, and im not afraid anymore to just ask if we can use a shops toilet if he needs to go hehe

I always take Jake every 30-45 minutes when we're out even if he says he doesn't need to go 'in case a sneaky wee is hiding' and pop the potty in the ute for roadside toilet stops if we're going a distance though now he likes peeing in the bushes lol thats Daddys fault...
Taking him regularly means we catch anything lurking in there even if hes so distracted he isn't aware of needing to go or if hes having fun so holding on.

We have "bedtime knickers" and "car knickers" which are pullups, and we just treat them like knickers, which Chloe wears when we are out - just in case.

We keep a potty in the car that has a nappy in the bottom, which makes it a million times easier to clean up (thanks for whoever gave me that tip, briliant!). When she needs to "go toilet" we pull over and chuck her on the potty to do her thing.

I didn't want to leave her to go in a nappy, because I thought it might screw everything up, but I'm no expert!

Thanks for the suggestions guys! I've found as long as we get to a toilet every hour I can keep her in "dundees" cos as soon as she wears anything that resembles a nappy she just stops telling me she needs potty and just goes... it even seems to work for nap time too... now just got the big sleep to go LOL

Littlebug - great tip re: the nappy in potty!
