Lilly will not eat tea unless its pasta, toasties, takeout (not very often we have this) She will not eat meat or veges. Except for veges on pizza (bought not home made try that) and meat in chicken nuggets (which I don't know how processed and nutrient that is)

So we are thinking of every her a multi vitamin of some description (till she starts eating better) and was wondering what others would recommend.

Thanks

We have a similar issue in our house in regards to dinners.   He's good with fruit and some meats, but veges are a no go here unless it's corn.

Really low iron runs in my family so I wanted to make sure he was getting everything he needed.

I have looked at heaps and most say 3+ on them.

My boy is 2 years 10 months so nearly there and he's definitely the size of a three year old so we bought some from the supermarket.   $7.99 for 60 tongue fizzers. I figured they were a good one to start with.

You could ask the pharmacist what they recommend, or even your GP.

The tongue fizzers are good (I think they are healtheries, I got them from Foodtown) as they dissolve really quickly, and are black currant flavoured.   Sam likes them because he thinks they are lollies.

Im glad Im not the only one thinking about vitamins for my kids!
Bailey is ok he eats most things its aidan!
he's gone of basically all meat - won't eat mince, sausages, chicken, ham, bacon, luncheon, corned beef
hardly any veges and will only eat banana's and apples
I tried to give him eggs for dinner but nope

so what excatly are the tongue fizzers for? just iron?

I wonder if a liquid one might be a good idea - one that you can mix in juice or something? The idea of little ones having vitamins worries me a little bit after knowing somebody whose 4 year old choked and died on a vitamin tablet a few years back. Sorry to be morbid, but something to think about.

I don't think you could choke on a tongue fizzer very easily, they dissolve so quickly.

Chloe used to be very fussy with what she ate, so we got some tongue fizzer multi-vits from the supermarket. I'm hesitant to give vitamin supplements though, so I cut them all in half and she has half of one. She loves them, they are like lollies.
Chloe (4 years) and Oliver (3 years).

Trish, the tongue fizzers are a multi vitamin and mineral.   I had some but they were left at his grandparents house and we haven't got anymore yet.   In less than a week his behaviour and mood improved!!

I don't think I'd feel comfortable giving my daughter supplements unless she had a really restricted diet...

I am comfortable giving my son child's vitamin supplements.   The amount of each ingredient is age relative, so only a very small amount.

Sam doesn't have a restricted diet, but he is quite fussy and having those extra vitamins actually improves his mood and behaviour which overall makes us both happier.

Fair enough I'm a worrywart when it comes to stuff like that.... often things that are thought to be completely safe are years later found to cause this and that so I'd rather not if not necessary IYGWIM... TBH I have never really looked at what's in the kids vits and the levels but I guess as long as they don't have high levels of fat soluable vits they should be fine...

eta - also it is amazing how little children need to get what they need... kids serving sizes are really small...but I guess if they don't have any that's a but tricky...

More often than not (5/7 times a week) Lilly will not eat anything for tea.

BUT...

Last night we got her to help make pizza. We used bread for the base, creamed corn(she doesn't like this), tomato(always gets spit out), bacon and cheese. AND when she thought no one was looking she licked a bit of tomato ... looked around (i looked away so she thought I wasn't looking) and then stuck the WHOLE slice into her mouth and ATE IT!!! I was so impressed.
Then when we served the pizzas she ate the whole thing and wanted more. YAY

I used to develop products for Healtheries and the 3yrs+ warning is something they have to put on due to the chocking hazard of small things in toddlers mouths - but most toddlers would be completely fine with the tongue fizzers. Jake used to have them when he went off all meat for a while (eats it all now, but is still fussy about foods all mixed together).
The amounts are low - its just like giving a toddler milk instead of cows milk to get the extra nutrients.
