Topic: Noses...button, pronounced... Posted: 03 November 2009 at 1:42pm |
Just for interests sake...
DH has a large hard nose whereas I have a button soft nose and wonder when it becomes prevalent with a child as to what they're going to get?
So, just for interests sake I'm interested in when you knew what sort of nose your bubs has, so far the boys have a sqidgy soft nose but who 'knows' (sorry for the pun).
Not that it matters one bit as my boys are totally gorgeous to me no matter what!

Dh has a bigger nose than me and E got my littlier nose.. it's always been like that though.. Dh read somewhere that the eyes dont grow they are the same size at birth but everything else grows as they get older or something...

Interesting thread this - DH has a large nose (its a family thing on his side), but when I look at pictures of him as a little one his nose was cute - it wasnt until he was a teenager that it developed into the family nose!

All of DH's baby pics are in the UK & I don't want to offend my inlaws by asking them about the size of DH's nose.

My nose is a little long and skinny and DH's has a point on the end, too.
But Hannah's is getting a little "snub" on the end. My sister has a "ski-jump", which runs in the family, so it looks like that could be what Hannah's going to end up with

Task for the day if you so which to participate...
1) Go to baby, your own preferably but any will do (jokes)
2) Squish her/his nose, not too hard!
3) Report back as to whether there is any bone/cartlidge at the end?
Result: Skwidgy here.
e.t.a: I had to go & skwidge the other one's nose just in case it was different - but it was the same!
MamaPickle: BTW I'm loving your little girl, she's a stunner! You guys blondies?
They do have a little ridge between their eyes which could grow I suppose. You know how some asian kids have the cutest button nose that's completely flat between the eyes, so cute.

hahaha...love it. Not going to partake in todays task as both my babies are asleep and I suspect a gentle squidge on the nose would wake them. However....I can tell already that James has my nose and Tom has DHs. James' nose is just a smaller version of mine. tom's on the other hand is quite different and doesnt look like either of ours...but looks EXACTLY like DHs did at that age.

Ohhh, very interesting Tish. I didn't know when cartlidge/bone starts to develop in their nose but if you have 1 x squidgy & 1 not so then it must start earlyish.
I love these scientific tests hay

Interesting, DS is asleep now so can't do squidy test.
I have big nose and big ears, when DS met my family (the ones responsible for said large nose and ears) they all said oh he doesn't have it, but how do they know.
I hope he gets Dh's button nose and little ears

Mine are asleep so I can't do the squidgy test either, but they do all have flat noses like their daddy .
