I know the fetus is dead but is it bad I just want it to be over with?

I've only passed a few splodges of blood here and there over the last several days. I have an appointment at the early pregnancy unit on Thursday which seems like forever.. and I might not get to do a D&C till next week.

I just want to get this over with.

Lemongirl, i started spotting on a monday, had scan, referred to epu on the wednesday for a D&C on friday, but started heavily bleeding on the wednesday afternoon. So it all happened fairly quickly.

Second loss i didn't spot until the day of my D&C.

So what i am saying is it is different for everyone, and totally understandable that you want it over and done with quickly. I think for my second loss my mw phoned the epu and told them to book the D&C as this was definately what i wanted. I saw them the next morning to sign forms and had the procedure that afternoon. This could be an option for you rather than waiting over the weekend.

Hugs lemongirl - I'm so sorry!
It is different for everyone - so I really can't say how long its going to take. I had the scan which showed all was not quite well then started spotting then clotty bleeding two days later.
Can you maybe ring them and see if you can get in earlier? (although I couldn't talk on the phone without bursting into tears)
Hugs hun - I wish I could make this go faster for you, but all I can do is send hugs and let you know there are a bunch of us thinking of you during this crappy crappy week.

Big hugs

Is there a reason why you have to wait? I had spotting for two days had a scan that showed a heartbeat, 2 days later I had a scan in the morning that showed there was no heart beat and had a D and C that afternoon as like kicker said that was what I wanted.  Like the others have said, maybe phone (if youre up to it) and ask for things to happen sooner.

it's totally normal to want it over with:(

I got the first available time which was 5 days later:( seemed like forever and I had no spotting or bleeding at all..just found out at routine scan.. having been through it naturally the next time i was glad i managed to last till the DandC but those 5 days were very very hard *hugs*

I think the time lag has to do with the fact that the missed miscarriage was detected in Australia so I wasn't offically in the system until today.

My midwife came through for me though and had the early pregnancy people on the phone first thing this morning and then again around lunch to say the D&C will be this thursday.

Actually I felt a whole bunch better after the nurse called me. Summoned up the strength to cancel my scan and call work for some extra time off.
