I absolutley know that tantrums are normal toddler behaviour, but how do you know when its a bigger behavioural problem.
For the last week we have had numerous meltdowns and tantrums, several a day most days. We have varying degrees from mild grizzling / clinginess to extreme head banging on the floor types, and I cant seem to pinpoint any consistent cause or trigger - other than he isnt getting his own way or exactly what he wants.
I need some advice on coping with these, I have tried distraction, ignoring, offering him what I think he wants....I just think we need to decide on a consistent way of coping with these, and I need some "hope" that he wont always be like this.
He is generally a happy wee boy, but since the onset on tantrums I am scared to go anywhere or do anything that might trigger them, and I feel a bit held to ransom.
Please tell me it gets better.....
