Topic: Pregnant again Posted: 05 May 2010 at 11:30am |
Hi guys. I had a suspected ectopic (resolved itself, no tubal damage) in 08, gave birth to a wonderful son in 09, he is now 1 and had a MC in March 10. The MC was straightforward, no D nC required. Was told by gyne to wait a cycle and then try again which is what I did .......
Yesterday I did a Crystal Clear HPT even though my period is not due for over a week (yeah, yeahI know that was WAAAY to early to test but I couldn't help it!) AND ...... a very faint positive line appeared! Have been dry wretching from the nausea when changing DS's nappies, have been tired and shaky and hungry, have been dizzy: preggy symptoms all round!!
I have read that preggy symptoms usually don't appear until 6 weeks but for me that's not true because with DS I had symptoms before I got the positive test.
ANYWAY: I'm happy because with both losses I didn't get a positive till my period was due but with DS I got a positive before my period was due. BUT as a survivor of 2 MCs I'm s**t scared and don't want to get too excited. Arrrgh, I just really want this one to stick.
I think after I have the next baby I will be done, early pregnancy is very psychologically difficult for MC survivors. I just want another precious baby in my arms and to never have to go through those tough early weeks again. Please cross your fingers for me

That is awesome news Hope, but I do have to say I'm a bit envious!!! Terrible I know!!
I'm currently waiting on my period (due Sat if my cycle went back to normal after M/C) and then it's going to be ALL ON!!!! I want to get pregnant next cycle. I'm kinda obsessed over it!!! Am counting down the days until I ovulate!!!
I am sending you sticky thoughts (that sounds kinda gross, but you know what I mean!), but I'm sure everything will work out perfectly and in 8/9 months time you'll be celebrating your new little baby.
Hopefully this time next month I will be posting a message just like yours!!!
xx

Thanks for your congratulations gals! I'm excited one minute and then worried sick the next and it's bloody hard not to think about!
Put on a tight top today and 'the girls' are definitely looking bigger already, DH agrees. Don't remember this happening with my recent MC. Hoping this is a good sign.
One good thing about being a MC survivor is that you don't mind the early preggy symptoms - every time I felt nauseous today I was so happy!
kellyd, only natural to be a bit envious, I felt the same when a friend got UTD soon after my first MC. Best of luck and big baby dust to you for your next cycle! I bet your partner is going to think all his Xmases have come at once!

Hi, I'm pleased to let you know that I took another HPT this morning and got a very strong positive, a really good line, very obvious with no squinting to see it required. I also had a bit of brown CM which I know could be implantation or old uterine blood .... or ..... the start of a MC.
Trying to think positive ...... I just really, really want this one to work out! I'll take the nausea, weight gain, stretch marks and even birth with pleasure!

Hi ladies, pleased to let you know I'm 6 weeks preggy, everyday that goes by I'm so happy to still be pregnant.
very nauseous but have only chucked once. Got that lethargic feeling like you have the flu ...not exactly mother of the year to DS at the mo, he's watched quite a bit of TV. Oh well, won't hurt him, hopefully nausea will ease at 9 weeks like last time.
Don't mind the nausea too much because it's a good sign.
Really hope I'll have a wee bundle of joy to cuddle in January!

Hi Hope,
great news. Keep us posted!!!
I am playing the waiting game at the moment. Thought I had implantation bleeding last night (AF due Fri) so took a preg test today and it was negative. Am a bit gutted, but maybe it's too early. So now waiting for AF to arrive, but really not wanting it to. It's all I can think about!!!
In theory, I should be pregnant!!! I have been preggers twice before. Once resulted in my 20 month daughter Ella, and the second time resulted in my missed m/c in April. Both times we weren't trying to get pregnant.
Now we have been trying, and don't think I am. Doesn't make sense.
But I will see what happens over next few days. Hopefully no AF!
