Topic: First AF after D&C Posted: 03 March 2010 at 6:54pm |
I just got my first AF after my D&C 5 weeks ago and OMG its so bad!
Its so heavy !... I soak through a super pad within half an hour.
Does anyone one know if this is "normal" ?
Thanks

When I had my D&C I got my first AF exactly 28 days later and it was heavy but not heavier than normal. Albeit I have heavy and painful AF's anyway.
hope you are feeling better soon.

My periods were strange after d&c. Heavier, even more painful, different number of days in the cycle... It made me GRRR. The dr was very relaxed about it so I suppose it is "normal". I went to a natropath and found her very helpful - it was nice to feel like I was doing something proactive about getting periods sorted rather than waiting to see what misery would be dished up each month!

Thank Jo1979,
I was also thinking about going to a naturopath, did it help ?
I'm hoping its only the first that will be like this.. I guess I'll have to see what next month brings but I would really like to TTC after the next one.

Jacindarella the naturopath I went to is at motherwell (Auckland, Mt Eden) and I did find her helpful. If you feel like all your natural rhythms are back then you're probably fine, but if things haven't settled down or you want help when it comes to ttc I do recommend...

I want to TTC soon so it would be great to get some extra help
