When a baby arrives,
be it for a day, a month, a year or more,
or perhaps only a sweet flickering moment-
the fragile spark of a tender soul
the secret swell of a new pregnancy
the goldfish flutter known to only you-
you are unmistakeningly changed...
the tiny footprints left behind on your heart
bespeak your name as Mother.

I wish I could say something that would help, but I know nothing really does. Just try not to be too hard on yourself for being upset.
Oh god Liz - I was already feeling Stef's pain, and that just made me weep (lovely though).

Oh no liz, I'm just bawling my eyes out.
In a weird act of 'celebration' for not having a baby I went out and bought myself this book which I have been lusting after FOR MONTHS.
It has the most beautiful layer cakes ever.
Look: (WARNING AVERT YOUR EYES IF HUNGRY)
strawberry shortcake, Chocolate Cake with Peanut Butter Frosting. Banana Cake with Praline Filling a Pistachio petit-four
The only problem is that BF and I are on weight loss mission at the moment and nobody is having a birthday so I will just have to oggle the recipies until I have an excuse to bake a layer cake.
Not as good as a baby but for a cake-making nerd like me it put a smile on my dial.

Oh those cakes look devine!! I like the look of the pistachio one, mmmmmm. I'm so glad that you could do something for you - you really deserve it.
That poem was one that meant alot to me when I had my mc.... it made me feel that it was ok to grieve. It's my due date tomorrow. Incidentally it's also one month til my due date with this baby - so I think it will be a bitter sweet day.
