Hi,

Is there a connection between the two??

This last week DS has been teething, molar time, still no sign of them cutting just lots of red cheeks and i can feel nasty swolen gums.

Anyway on top of this he has been hugely aggressive, keeps trying to hit our faces all the time, which is driving me nuts.

I've tried ignoring it, saying no, putting him down away from me nothing seems to stop him and if he catches you out it can be bloomin painful.

Help

Man I could have written this myself. My DD is going at my face something wicked at the mo and I think she has her back molars coming up. She thinks its a joke when I eventually have enough and just about cry.

I'll be keeping an eye on this to see what people say

Hmm maybe we are alone on this one - been a bit better today but still the odd sneaky swipe and yes a couple of times it reduced me to tears too - painful.

I haven't heard of any relation between the 2 but it doesn't surprise me. The molars are such big teeth and so flat, I remember when Jack was cutting his and it seems to take forever from the time the first corner cut to when the whole surface of the tooth had cut the gum. It must be very painful. And they have no ability to express their emotions so hitting out could be the only way they know how to express the pain they are in.
