Daniel has this and has come home from daycare. I forgot to ask how long do most places usually want you to keep them away from daycare?

poor Daniel- Ella had this and was in so much pain. I think we kept her away until the blisters in her mouth had cleared up (can't remember how long that took) and she was back to normal. She is only in 2 days a week, so it wasn't a big deal for us.

hope he gets better soon

According to Southern Cross website:
In order to help prevent the spread of the condition, it is usually recommended that children are kept home from school or childcare while the blisters in the mouth and on the hands and/or feet are present.

Doc told me to keep him away till the spots disappeared. Ok to bring out just not to mix with other children.

Grrrr. I think Jackson might have this too. He's got little blisters on his hands and I didn't know what they were. Then I noticed he's got some red blisters under his tongue. Googled it, and it looks just like H, F & M.

Not what we need! I have just had 3 weeks off work with him at Starship and can't afford to be taking more leave. WHAT a pain.

Anyone wanna babysit?!?!

Once a couple of wee blisters appear (started yesterday, a few more today), how much worse does it get, and how long does it take to clear?

We also can't afford to put him off food whilst we're making some slow progress. This is SO frustrating!

Daniel didnt really seem bothered by it actually. He had a raised temp one night and we just kept giving pamol for a couple of days anyway in case it hurt, didn't bother his appetite at all. His blisters went after 4-5 days maybe, pretty quick
