Topic: Advice please?? Posted: 14 December 2008 at 4:15pm |
I had a m/c in feb this year (I was 8 weeks) and I've had no luck conciving (sp?) since I have had a blood test to show that I am propberly ov (docs words) and I dont really know where to go from here. Its so hard seeing other people get pg and have there babies when mine should have been here by now, its even worse when they didnt even want to get pg, its so not fair and I dont think my DH understands why I get so sad over it, I just really dont know what to do anymore
Sorry about the rant and I hope it makes sense

Lee_jon . I know exactly how you feel. I had a MC in July and havent conceived either.
I am in Aus and my Dr will be referring me to a Gynae next month if we dont conceive by then (sorry I cant remember how they do it in NZ after a MC). That will be 6 months after my MC which apparently is the norm here. Can you go to your Dr and ask then to refer you to a specialist?

Thanks rianna08, I did go and thats when he gave me the blood test to see if I was ov he also said that he has never seen a mc cause infertillaty before, but I think theres a first time for everything, I need to get DH to do a sperm count test but its just getting him to go to the docs!! Once I know theres nothing with him then we can focus on what games my body is playing

Lee_Jon, I have had a m/c before each of my pregnancies the 1st 2 I conceived reasonably soon afterwards but last year I got thru to 11 1/2 - 12 wks and then m/c ....... so I waited ..... waited but nothing seemed to happen, I did have the knowledge that I had 2 babies but this seemed to be taking a long time. I was lucky probably to have the girls to keep me busy and stop me thinking about the negative side of things but we did end up conceiving at the same time the next year and the due date was/is exactly the same. Sorry the story may not be much help to you, and it is easy for an outsider to say don't stress but there is still every chance it will happen for you, just thought I may be able to give you a positive story

Lee_Jon,
Sorry you are going through such a sh*t time. I had a still born in May. I started trying right away once I had been given the all clear.
I fell pregnant within 2 months of trying (this time).
My 1st Mc was at 13 weeks, I didn't fall pregnant for 18 months after that. DR wouldn't send me to anyone because I was only 21.
If I were you Hun and this is making you so down, I would see your GP and get a referral to see someone who is more specialised in the Lady areas.
I know just how hard it is when you see people who have a baby & you just so wish that was you.
The day I had Anika I walked out of the hosital & there was a lady sitting there with a smoke in one hand & was pregnant I though to myself, I have just given birth to a Baby who I will never see again & here you are smoking & hurting you wee one. Why did this happen to me.
I think you should just relax ( I know easier said than done) and think just how wonderful it will be once you have fallen pregnant. Positive thinking Hun works wonders.
Take care & don't ever be sorry for talking about how you feel.
