A few weeks ago after I'd finished feeding Lily, Ollie came up to my knee, looked at my boobie, patted his chest and 'meeeeee?'.

So what do you do in this situation? I assume we will have the same thing happen when the baby arrives.. One of my books suggest you let the toddler have a drink and when they realise they can have it and it's no big deal, then they will stop (not sure if that's true?). However, I think I would rather just tell her she's a big girl now and say no in a nice way.. what is the best approach?

Oh no so I have this to combat when we get preg again

If you give in and let them I would be worried that they would want it all the time though

DD still has the booby at night....and I cant imagine that she would be very happy to share when this baby gets here.

I need to stop feeding her but I have tried many things and nothing works......OH I need to do more research!

I just reminded Ollie that he was a big boy and didn't get his milk from mummy anymore. He was fine with it.

Roksana - I have a friend who has a 2 yr old and a 6 mth old and is still bf both of them. I'm not sure if the toddler had any jealousy issues though ...

When DD asked the first time I said yeah, sure and let her have a go (before I got pregnant I was planning on feeding her until 2 years anyway, but got too tired bf and being pg so weaned her off). She lay there with my boob in her mouth, looking up at me like 'so what do I do now?' She had no idea what to do! I think she expected the milk to just pour into her mouth? I dunno. But it wasn't a big deal, once she realised it wasn't that much fun she jumped up and went off to do something else. She's asked once or twice since then but I haven't given her another chance, just said 'mummy will give you a cuddle' and given her a big cuddle instead, that seems to make her happy.
