ok...so i cant find the piece of paper and really it probably doesn't have what i need on it anyway:) what exactly will i need when i have him and for the time before I come back home..I've got his bag sorted it's me I'm struggling with..so if you wanna add anything go ahead, I'm pretty clueless:)!
*2 pairs of button up pj's (which is funny as i dont normally wear them and it reminds me of my2angels post about spiders..which i have never had a problem with..but anyway I digress:) ) and two nighties... *dressing gown- though it's heavy i might have to get a light one *a change of normal clothes for me (plus the ones I go in in ) *3 packs of ugly pads:)! (and copious amounts of undies of course..though they provide disposable ones... *mp3 player umm everything else blank at the moment.. thankyou for any input!!! |

A book or something to do cause I found that I couldn't sleep and was bored out of my tree
Something yum to eat (like your favourite lollies or chocolate - I had too as a treat!) I didn't do PJ's or dressing gown, I just got around in tank tops and shorts cause its freaking hot there! Hairbrush. If you wear makeup, maybe some of that so you 'feel' pretty with all your visitors! |

Wouldn't bother wit the dressing gwn as it will be too hot. Snack bars - and maybe a notebook to doodle or make notes on who buys you what for thanks you cards etc. My baby brain kicked in early and I won't remmeber who visited with which present!

OB hospital bag checklist
Theres quite a bit of stuff on there, but should give you an idea of some of the extra things you might want. I loved having my own pillow. |

I needed some paper so that I could write down presents and stuff but also to make notes about what time I fed, changed Luke etc...
Also some light reading as someone said above - I couldn't sleep either and so needed something to occupy my mind... I loved my own pillow too! |

Bathroom stuff ie nice soap/shower gel. Toothpaste & toothbrush, facial cleanser and moisturizer. Oh and a good hand cream - it's amazing how often you wash your hands those first few days!

I second taking my own pillow - was such a good move. Muesli bars and lemonade. I didnt feel comfy wearing Pjs with all my vistors, so I just wore singlets with track pants or PJ pants, I took jandals instead of slippers because it was so hot. I also took hair ties so I didnt have to worry about my hair looking a mess! I also took my own box of tissues - nice aloe ones, as the hospital tissues were like cardboard when I blew my nose (or wiped the tears - and there were a few in the first days!!)

The other thing I was thankful for was some moisturiser so that DH could massage my swollen feet after the labour... (Induction can do that to you...)
And plenty of snacks as you only get food 3 times a day... and can get really hungry |

I wasn't prepared for how much my feet would swell AFTER the birth, they were like cankles! I thought they were swollen pre-birth (I had no circulation in my legs coz of the weight of the babies) but nope, afterwards they were ten times the size!
I second (or third) nice toiletries, it was great to be able to have a shower and wash my hair. I took a razor too and shaved my legs in the shower in the delivery suite after they were born, my m/w thought I was nuts but it was soooo nice to be able to see my legs again! And undies, undies, undies, but make sure they are comfy ones, I took a couple of pairs that were a wee bit tight and found I couldn't wear them coz they were uncomfy. |

yeah im going out to buy some more massive ones today..i have no shame:) seriously i wont show you my feet but they swelling overnight basically and look awful.. so obviously they are worried about PE..i guess at least if they swell after then I'm not having to worry about PE so that's something:) I'm really really over worrying..still 3 more days and he's 'full term' so that's something!

My gremlins were born at 36,5 and we transferred to Birthcare at 3 hours post-birth, they were fine.
LOL at the massive undies, I too have no shame, and Farmers make the best granny pants! |

I bought the 6 packs of massive undies from Warehouse, they were cheap cotton ones and really comfy - and because they were cheap I wasnt worried if I threw them away.
