Topic: Party ideas? Posted: 21 November 2007 at 8:22pm |
for Miss 4. Food is easy! Guests are easy too! But games? I've got pass the parcel and freeze so far. Do you think the girls will be old enough to handle the 'disappointment' (disqualification) of freeze? Should I stick with co-operative games only for another year? Help, I need more games ideas!

maybe the kids that "lose" freeze can have a task - in drama the kid that loses gets to say the next "freeze" - it helps ease the pain. treasure hunt? what about a craft?

Pin the tail on the donkey, singing, obstacle course, dress ups, make up play, simon says.
The littlies website has lots of cool theme & game ideas.

Depending on how much mess you can tolerate you could let them decorate their own party hats and ice their own fairy cakes etc.

I wouldn't get mad Teresa. It sounds like heaps of fun and I imagine the kiddies would love it.

Thanks for the link, Glow
We have 1 1/2 hours so I'm thinking:
balloons (free play while everyone arrives)
pass the parcel (great starter)
treasure hunt - to find different pieces (colours) of the rainbow
pin the colours on the rainbow (from the littlies site)
icing and decorating cup cakes with 100's and 1000's, chocolate hail, M&Ms
quickly followed by afternoon tea cause they'll just eat them anyway!
Might use freeze as a back-up if we run out of time
Sounds good? There are 6 girls invited, plus 2 of mine will play.
