Saw our plunket nurse today and apparently Elle's legs are too bandy (bowed) and she suspects she has a vitamin D deficiency...common in kids with iron deficiency. Honestly! What next! Thankfully it' fully treatable so we will now add Vit D test to the blood test order for next week. Gee whizz anyone would think our child is neglected or from a 3rd world country! I can assure you she is faaaaaaaaaaar from neglected...she is thoroughly spoilt!!

P.S or...could it be the cloth nappies! NOT!

Well at least you have some more answers and this time at least they can do something for it. Just wondering about the iron have they tried injecting it into her?? I had a series of Iron jabs a few months ago and they brought my iron levels up a good amount for my dr (they were still low but good enough for me).

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

I think it's just normal toddler "bandyness" but no harm in adding it to the list of tests for next week.

P.s Mummybecks...she's on a course of iron and getting it checked again next week :)

Oh dear.  She sure does keep you on your toes.  Hope those tests give you some answers... some nice, simple, clear and very easily-treatable answers!
