Ok so i have been bleeding a little every other day an only in the morning, had some test done and it is some thing to do with a hemorrhage, my midwife said it is very small so not to worry, but how can i not, i have miscarriages in the past but i am now 13 or 14 weeks and have never been this far so am feeling postive about that, I have to go to hospital to do some test etc
I guess my question to mums or mums to be out there is have you had it? how commen in this? anything i can do??

I'm guessing a sub-chorionic haemorrhage? Anyway, I had lost my first 2 babies with no bleeding whatsoever but with my daughter I bled on and off from 6 to 17 weeks which was terrifying. It's not considered 'normal' but neither is it uncommon and definitely doesn't always mean problems. But yeah, it's so hard not to worry. I can remember the sinking feeling every time the bleeding started again.
The advice I got was very general. Try not to over exert myself and no sex or swimming or bath's when I was actually bleeding (infection risk) but everything as normal when I wasn't.
Fingers crossed for you and try not to stress too much (so hard I know!).

Hi,
I had bleeding early on (9-10 weeks) also due to a sub chorionic haemorrhage. I am now 35 weeks so all worked out okay for me. I had to have several scans to heck the location of the haemorrhage as it was partially sitting over my cervix but seems to have moved up now.
Good luck, I hope it clears up soon.

me too with the sub chorionic haemorrhage. I bleed heavily at 8 weeks and thought for sure I had lost the baby but a scan showed I hadn't and showed the sub chorionic haemorrhage sitting in the placenta. It disappeared over times and now I am 33 weeks

I am in the sub chorionic haemorrhage club too. Heavy bright red bleeding at 10 weeks, scan showed the haemorrhage (and a kicking little bean). I bled lightly for about 2 weeks afterwards too and have had no issues since :)

*puts hand up* Me too. I am going through this now. I had my first subchronic haemorrhage at 8w 2d and have spotted continiously through up until today with moments of heavy bleeding, clots and scares all round. Today I went to the hospital to prepare myself for a d and c as I was sure I had lost baby last week, and what do you know baby is fine. I have had a second subchronic haemorrhage in a different area and may bleed for quite some time yet. I am well over bleeding, but will be happy enough to bleed right through if it means having another happy and healthy bubba. I will have extra scans at 28, 32 and 36 weeks.
Good luck.
My haemorrhages were on the wall of the womb (outer) and just above my cervix (most recent bleed). I didn't bleed at all with my first.

Scary bookwyrm but glad things are okay. I had lots of extra scans when I was bleeding but when I stopped at 17 weeks they didn't feel they needed to monitor anymore. My baby was completely healthy so I get the impression that if it's just spontaneous (rather than some placenta problem) then it doesn't impact on baby at all.
Good luck. Hope things settle down for you both.
