Hi, just curious if other peoples toddlers go through teary days??

Last couple of days small things make him burst randomly into sobbing tears, just yesterday and today really so I wasn't too surprised there were tears when left at daycare.

Silly things like he spilt some water, this morning couldn't open something he normally could etc... it stops quickly and he says i'm ok i'm ok, he is a fantastic talker but can't say why, is it just an off day.

I do think he is teething again, we had bright red cheeks last night, we still haven't got the last molars.

There has been a lot of change in this house over the last 6 weeks, new baby etc etc.... plus my mum is coming from the uk tonight and he's been talking about that heaps.

Anyway just curious if other peoples toddlers go through little phases like this we haven't had one for a while.

Heck yes! I sometimes wonder if Jody goes through monthly emotional cycles, she gets so upset over nothing for a few days (like crying when the sun went down lol) then she's fine a few weeks.
Cute that Finn says he's fine

Yes we get that too- at first I thought it was just tantrum related but I think life is pretty full on for toddlers and they feel all sorts of emotions they don't know quite what to do with.

Yup G is like that too. Some days every little thing causes a complete over re-action - she breaks down sobbing and repeats "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry" when she drops/spills anything or trips over or does anything she knows she shouldn't. She also has heaps of trouble saying goodbye to anyone some days (aunties, grandparents, me, the flatmate) and that can cause up to 10 minutes or so of crying too.

Yep we have those days too - particularly today - he will often go off and come back saying 'happy now'

Oh good - well not good but you know what I mean.

I do think ours is teeth related these last few days, but they happen at other times too, but more tears at the moment - never lasts long but sounds heartbreaking.

I also get the, its ok mummy finny happy now after an episode, he will also point to where he was crying and said fin was sad there.
