Terrible itchy rash on the inside of my arms and also a bit on my neck.

Done a bit of googling and it appears to be hives based on pictures I've found.

I'm also struggling with excema so using steroid cream occasionally for that, doctor also prescribed antihistamines for the excema but i haven't used them (I don't want to!)

The rash has developed since I saw the doctor, but I don't want to have to go back and pay another fee to see him if he's not going to tell me anything new!

I'm using soap substitute in the shower at the moment.

advice would be welcome :-)

Has it happened before you were pregnant or just since you've been pregnant?

It could be so many things, contact allergy, ingested. From where it is, I'd think a contact allergy, been cuddling a pet?

i used to get a tiny bit of dermatitis under my ring finger if i wasn't drying it properly after washing.

Also used to get hives years ago as a student but haven't had them since.

No pets at our place.

Thinking the pregnancy hormones are causing me trouble?? Never had any trouble with my first pregnancy though

I had a terrible rash on & off through out my 1st pregnancy I took the antihistamines in the end as they really did help plus helped me get some sleep.

Also Aveeno bath/shower oil is great for soothing the itching.

Hi Emmy, pretty sure it's not PUPPS - it's just localised to my arms (and sometimes shoulders). The rash does look like that picture though.

thanks guys for the tips for things to try - baking soda would be a good one.

I've heard aveeno is great although very expensive!!

I had this when I was pregnant with DD. WEnt to pharmacy and doctor, took one antihistamine tablet, it cleared and never came back. I was worried it might be PUPPS - but it was only really on my legs - looked just like hives too.

So I would give it a few days, the itching was terrible for me too - try some pinetarsol in the bath, otherwise some baking soda or calamine?

Wow, Bel, I might give that a go in a few days if it hasn't cleared.
Yesterday and today it has been much better, so maybe it is something I've touched or eaten, and will go away soon
