We bath our boy at night before bed. Last winter having wet hair for bed wasn't an issue as he didn't have much hair, and a quick towel dry of his fuzz was enough.
He still doesn't have much hair, but more than a year ago and a towel dry still leaves it damp. Now it's getting colder I'm wondering if I could/should blow dry it.

Not sure if he'd let me - lol.

Has anyone else tried blow drying a toddler's hair?

DD has lots of hair. I just try drying it well its doesnt take long to dry anyway.

If its a cold night like last night i do try blow dry it. Sometimes she lets me other times she doesnt. I normally just dry it underneath if i can.

We only wash her hair every week if not longer so isnt an issue that often

DD (20months) loves having her hair blow dried.....strange wee girl.
Its probably because she sees me every second day blow drying mine.
Its great, especially in the colder weather. Maybe let him see you doing it a few times and make it seem fun and he might be ok with it.

Yep, we blow dry our girls hair. We would never get it dry otherwise We started Miss A with a dryer when she was about 2 I think. She wasn't keen to start with but we made a game of it - so dry mummy's hair, dry her hair, dry daddy's hair, dry toys hair. She also realized that it was better than having her hair towel dried

We blow dry our sons hair but he loves it as he likes to copy everything I do. If he hears the dryer going in the morning he will come racing up to the bedroom to have his turn. I also have to pretend to straighten his hair as well! If only his father knew what went on when he was as work!

Means I have to keep both appliances well out of his reach so he doesn't try to use them on his own. I would start by using the hair dryer in front of him on your's and DH's hair and make a game out of it.

ETA - he is nearly two years old

Our kids are hit and miss. Isabelle will watch me and has let me dry her hair once.

Elias runs as soon as he hears it (and he probably has more hair that Issy)!

We just towel dry as best we can and keep the house warm.
Mummy to Issy (3) and Elias (18 months)

I did it .. 41 kgs gone! From flab to fab in under a year LFs weight blog

We haven't needed to use a hair dryer on DD yet as the towel still dries her fluffy hair! But she loves watching me dry my hair in the morning and makes me "dry" her hair too (even though it's not wet in the morning lol).

Just try it on him and see if he likes it or not might take him a while to come round to it - DD used to run away when I was drying my hair hehe
