Hey mummas

My lil one is in the breech position and doesnt feel like budging! Im getting referred to the hospital to see a specialist to manually turn him. Has any other mothers had this happen to them? I just want to know how uncomfortable it is going to be and is there any risk of baby getting stressed and my waters breaking? Im 35 weeks and 3 days along so not a huge risk if they so break, right?

Also i have been waking up everymorning for the last week with horrible headahces. Is this normal or common?

Would love to hear from anyone as im a lil nervous about getting him turned.

I would investigate it further before attempting to turn.

There are other things our can try first. Acupuncture & moxi sticks just to name a couple. Also things you can try at home.

Is this your first baby? With my first she was breech until just over 37 weeks.

There is a thread up the top about this also ECV its called

I've heard that it can be uncomfortable but not painful, I almost had it done for one of my babies (but she turned first). If baby won't turn, it's possible the cord is too short or something like that and you'll be referred for elective c/s. If you did go into labour at 35-36 wks, baby should be absolutely fine.

I'd get the headaches checked out first, make sure there's nothing serious going on. Maybe you're low on iron.

There is a lovely someone here whos baby turned at 37 weeks (i think..?) hopefulyl she will see and comment herself

Mine didnt flip until about 34 weeks, and i didnt flip until my mom was in labour so its not uncommon for babies to turn very late!

I absolutely reccomend some accupuncture and moxa stick therapy if you have a good practicioner near you?

I was breech up until 37 weeks and 3 days before my final scan to see if he had gone head down (feeling very under pressure) I went to an accupuncturist. He was amazing and he was VERY confident that with one session (two at most) head could turn baby.
He placed needles in hands and calves and also did some moxa stick work and then gave me a moxa stick for home use.
IT WORKED!!!!!!!!

My MW actually recommended I try it as she has known of lots of good results for this problem through accupuncture.

So - I have avoided (barring other complications) a c-section and hope to have another great V birth very soon!

Good luck xxx
