My gran has always told me to have really salty water and just swish it around your mouth. That's all I've ever taken, I get them fairly often! It usually clears within a couple of days and I just use that wash after every meal, before bed, when I get up.... A lot!

Hi - I haven't had them since being pregnant but I used to have them a lot and had a terrible a three month stint middle of the year where they occurred constantly and usually several at once.. It came down to being Vit B deficient (apparently caused by stress for some people) so the dr recommended Vit B12 supplement and I've never had the problem since. I haven't been taking them since TTC and or being pregnant but I also haven't had ulcers back either.
if I did I'd be checking with my MW if I can take them given I know it's worked for me in the past.
Hope that helps .... I feel for you - I remember the agony - I was close to tears some times with them.

I have them toooo so I totally feel your pain!! I'm not pregnant however. Doctor told me they're from being run down & use bonjella & the salt water wash..
Mine got really bad so I went to back to the Dr (different guy) and HE thinks it's thrush so I'm on Daktarin.
Hope u feel better soon x

Yup I've been told it's to do with a poor diet and being run down. Which usually happens when you're UTD, sick... Such a pita! I get them constantly! And they get worse for me with lack of sleep and being sick!

Mum always told me they were from eating junk food and lollies, but who knows if that's true ^^
I get them every now and then, or have my wisdom teeth playing up and I usually just wait it out.

Yeah, that's what my mum told me when I was younger 'Oh it's all the junk and lollies!' now I get 'It's because you're run down, how's your diet.... blah!'

Well i guess my diet has changed a bit since being pregnant.... i cant stand lollies and chocolate as much all i want is fruit, and im still loosing weight! So dont think its crap food. hehe.
On a good note i managed to get a great sleep last night and my mouth is feeling alot better today, hopefully i can manage some food, hard to grow a baby when you just dont want to eat because its so painful!

I always use bonjela or this stuff called Frador (not sure if its pg friendly tho) it hurts to put on but numbs them for a while, I've used oracort too but I found it used to get stuck to my cheeks etc and wasn't as good to use, altho it is quite soothing.
Hope you get some relief soon!
