We're heading up to the beach in a few days and the IL's have a ham on the bone which is one of my favourite things at xmas time.

I'm guessing it's not ok to eat cold, but ok to eat if it's cooked.... does anyone know?

Ive been eating it cold since Christmas day. We never had hot ham on Christmas day

As long as you know its been chilled properly and you know it hasnt been left out you are fine :D
You wont get sick if its been handled and stored properly.

Think about what people used to do before any of these rules came in. There were no rules when my mum was pregnant with me about what you can and cannot eat and im fine....i think. lol

I used to eat our own ham cold, as I knew it was stored and chilled properly. Otherwise I just zapped it in Microwave until sizzling. Or cook on BBQ.

Just do what feels comfortable for you.

I think it should be fine as long as its within a few days of opening, I think its more ham from the deli that you have to be more careful with because thats been out in the open where as usually ham on the bone is wrapped up and chilled properly.... I think!!!
