Topic: 2nd babies & EDDd etc... Posted: 01 November 2010 at 3:57pm |
Sooooooooooo......
all you 2nd and 3rd and 4th time Mums......did your 2nd bubs arrive earlier than their EDD or did you find that they followed a similar pattern to your first? i.e if your first was late/on time then the 2nd one was too?
I'm at that lovely OVER IT stage of pg lol, and don't get me wrong, obviously want my baby to turn up when she's ready to! But just curious none the less if all these hard out BH and soreness might be leading up to the real tihng a bit earlier, or if cos it's my 2nd, I just get to 'enjoy' the discomfort for a little longer
BTW- for those who were following my breech saga lol, we had a scan last week and bubs has turned...YAY . she was also well down my pelvis and looking very erm, bonny. I know the scans can be a bit out but at approx 6lb 6oz at 34 weeks, she was sitting nicely on the 95th percentile.
Gulp.

40+5 with my first, but had a S&S so don't know what her true date would have been. Night on 42 weeks with DD2. Babies are not essays

Sorry to say but DD was 5 days early and DS was 4 days late so they definitely didn't follow the same pattern.
DS was posterior and I wonder if that may have contributed.

Statistically (so not an essay ) the average length of PG is about 3 days shorter for 2nd baby than first. It's referenced on a blog weegee sent me but I can't find which one!

mine followed a pattern in that they were all overdue and all induced - but thats where the similarities ended. three very different births and experiences. and my baby with the biggest head - 39cms - was my easiest birth... he was scanned with an estimated birth weight of 11pd but wasnt that born!
edit to the correct (or i hope so) weight unit.
