Hi,
I'm 36 weeks pregnant with my 3rd baby and I've now finished work (yesterday) and I'm totally fed up with everything. I just want the baby out and to go back to being a mother again. I feel I can't do anything but be a whale (as DH says - kindly tho). Is anyone else feeling like this? I'm almost to the point I'd beg the OB to do the C section early.

I'm fed up with:

Not being able to bend at the waist
Not see my feet or put on knickers, socks, shoes
Not sleeping for any more than 45 minutes at night
    Back pain
Engaged baby on my cervix, grinding away like he's making coffee beans into granules
    My small bladder
    BOREDOM
Despite having nothing to do all day, when the kids are back home from school I resent having to do anything for them, cos I'm knackered (and I know I sound like a bad mum)
My boobs feeling like there's a desperate need to feed someone
My hospital bag being packed and waiting in the corner of the bedroom, just WAITING.
DH insisting that I'm not going to go into labour early, even though he knows I'm desperate to
Basically anything DH says at the moment
Spotty skin, I feel like a teenager
Lovely discharge, and then I keep hoping it's my waters breaking
Bleeding gums, but knowing a gum infection could bring on early labour, but still I brush 2-3 times a day, cos I'm bored you know
Carpel tunnel in my right hand
Not being able to wear my wedding rings cos my hands have swollen, and fearing that everyone in my small village thinks I'm an unwed mum which is ridiculous cos I'm well known but still there it is.

I'm sure there's more, but now I realise I sound completely neurotic.

Feel free to add to the list of things you're totally fed up with. I can relate - as you can tell.

Have a go....It's not futile, I actually feel better having a rant on this forum doing the above, so have a go, we are a judgment-free zone here.

    Take care and hugs.
    Sarah

I hear you on everything!!! Except the kids coz this is the first one and I don't even have to look after anyone else. But I'm SO FREAKING BORED just waiting!!!

When I got to 37 weeks I was like "right we're good to go now", and I expected baby to have the same ideas as me - but they come when they want to and I'm still here at 40+1. I don't like not having control of when it's going to happen, and I haven't really enjoyed pregnancy at all, so being this close to the end its like "come on already!!!"

It's a pregnant woman's prerogative to sound neurotic, so vent away lol. You don't have too long to go (even though it seems like each day is a decade!) so hang in there!! And good luck.

This is my 1st too and I'm only 29 weeks, I am however beginning to understand why pregnancy is only for 9 months, any longer I'd go mad.

I'm only 16 weeks and hating the nausea and the heartburn, not looking forward to the last few weeks, for all those things you have listed and I am sure a couple more! Does it help to know I am envious you are nearly there tho whereas I have another 24 weeks to go?????

I'm 20 weeks and I am over the nausea and the exhaustion. I am sick of waiting and want baby to be cooked now. 9 months is far too long.

I thought 9 months was just fine with the other two. Now I'm nearly there is just agony waiting.

I've also had indigestion and nausea again, after it being absent since about 20 weeks. Oh the joys of late pregnancy.

All I want is to lay in a nice hot bath for the remainder of my time, sadly tho I've no bath in my bathroom, only showers. Snif snif.

    Oh I so hear ya!

I am fed up with my sore achey hips and back, heartburn, not being able to bend in the middle or sleep on my tummy or go for a long walk or have a glass of wine or a hot bath, having to do anything for anyone else and the guilt that goes with it, worrying about this baby being breech and whether it will turn...

*sigh* I don't do pregnant very well. No more babies after this one methinks.

OMG I totally forgot about booze...How is that possible?

I so want a glass of wine or a jog of pimms. And it seems that everyone keeps talking about booze around me. "Oh I bet you could do with a glass of wine" they say....Well yes of course I could, you bloody idiot. I feel like a whale, I have 2 demanding kids, and one on the inside stripping me of everything I have, not to mention having to move house last week with a breaking back and do my 4 year old's birthday party.

Sorry, I'm having another rant again

    OMG yes!!!

    Ticking all those boxes!!

    - Sick of having to ask someone else to cut my toenails which are growing out of control every week or so
    - Sick of waking up 8 or 9 times during the night because of the sleep apnoea I developed at the beginning of the 3rd trimester
    - Sick of wanting, no *NEEDING* McDonalds then feeling guilty as hell when I give in and get me a burger in case of listeria
    - Sick of being so hungry all the time, dishing up big plates then only being able to eat a couple of bites - and still getting horrid heartburn afterwards
    - Sick of sleeping with 4 different pillows propping me up in different places thanks to the SPD
    - Sick of people saying stupid things like 'hey, you're looking pregnant' or 'wow you're getting BIG'
    - Sick of needing to cry every 2 seconds - then giggling helplessly because needing to cry every 2 seconds is ridiculous
    - Sick of my son playing upside down pogo stick on my cervix - more sick of him starting to play that game at 2am
    - Sick of the vag hiccups - please tell me I'm not the only one getting these??
    - So over looking at ladies with babies in the mall and being jealous because they already have their babies and I still have to wait 5-7 weeks for mine
    - Sick of new stretch marks appearing every second day
    - Sick of getting no sleep then having to drag my tired whale ass to work - only 12 more days to go....next time I'm stopping at 32 weeks!

    Baby hiccups? Drives me nuts!

I am also sick of people being judgemental about having a young toddler and a big pregnant belly BUT not offering to help or at least keeping opinions/snide looks to themselves! Yes, the middle aged lady at the supermarket who looked me up and down and sighed and mumbled as I tried to balance toddler on one hip, shopping in the other, nappy bag, and pay at the same time, I am talking about YOU!

I am sick of people telling me how I am going to be busy with two. What do you think I do all day?! Paint my nails?

Ugh, specialK - I sooo hear you on the stares and opinions. I'm pregnant, not a freak!! And yes, I know my life is going to change, I knew that when I decided to get pg in the first place. And people think that because you are pregnant they have a right to comment on your size/looks/cervix.
Sick of people calling me to ask if the baby has come yet. A) if he had, I wouldn't be at home to answer the phone. B) no, mum, I would not neglect to tell you when I'm in labour.
And yay, now my feet look as though I have elephantitis.
Mmmmm a nice glass of wine would be so nice....*sigh*.

    LOL - it's totally TMI!

I don't really know how to explain them, but it's only started happening in the last couple of weeks which is about the same time I started getting that bowling ball between my legs feeling...

Every now and then I get a little 'popping' feeling down low and I keep having to check my waters haven't broken! Kinda feels like I've had air trapped up there somehow? Was told it was because the baby's head was engaging and putting pressure where there wasn't pressure before! Super annoying....I call them my vag hiccups....or vagcups.....LOL and nope baby hiccups are a different thing!

God love you Rach, I'm so sorry about the vag hiccups but thankfully I don't have to deal with that, but the baby hiccups I have about 8 times a day. I am constantly checking my pad to see if my waters have broken but I haven't had that characteristic popping sound or the sudden rush in a big way. I even had the OB checking the membranes today, which are confirmed as still intact    I also sympathise with the toenail cutting, mine seem to be growing at a rate of knots. Oh and also about the plates of food. I make a normal size one then am full after only 4 bites.

I also tried to do something nice with the kiddies, making cupcakes cos I'm not going to be able to do much of that after bubs is born, but after 1/2 an hour and sh*t loads of washing up I just felt resentful that they had chosen to make the icing some horrible flavour I couldn't stand. I've now been a grotbag for the last 3 hours and it's starting to wear even me a bit thin

I'm fed up with standing in the kitchen for ages doing some awesome baking, only to take the first bite and realise its not what I (read: the baby!) wanted at all, and then have to sit and watch everyone else demolish the masterpiece i created... naughty bubba for not letting me eat chocolate!

I'm fed up with trying to figure out what it is that I want to eat, but everything i can think of is not the right thing!

Oh god, i have all this to look foward too.

Im just so sick of going into shoe stores, seeing all the beautiful new seasons heels and having to carefully coach myself to buy the flats. And that empire waists seem to be going out of fashion...boo.

Im really sick of the baby being on my siatic nerve, i am going to cut my leg off if the pain doesnt get better, i swear.

The only way I can get through it is by thinking that 'term' is 37 weeks which is only 5 weeks away. If I think about it as 40 weeks which is another 8 weeks away it seems unbearably too long!
