Okay so we have been TTing for few days now and he is doing very well. I am so impressed with him. But one thing that keeps happening is that he'll pee in the potty get up and play for a minute then do a bigger pee on the floor.
How can I encourage him to do the whole pee in potty?

We've not started TT to any degree yet, DS sat on it for the first time yesterday lol but I was thinking maybe once he's done his first pee you could do the praise thing and perhaps a lolly if you are doing that kind of reward and then have him sit back down to read a couple of his favourite books perhaps????

i would think that maybe he is a bit young yet to really get it. but yeah trying to get him to sit longer might would be the thing.

I also think you may be in it for the long haul starting so early but anyway... The seminar I went to says get an alarm clock (a digital one they can see) and to start with just get them to sit on it for 20sec, set the alarm and if he sits on it for that long he gets his reward (if you're doing that) or praise then he can roam free. Every few days just incresae the alarm clock time and soon enough he'll be on it for a minute or more and hopefully goes for his full wee.

3yr old gorgeous ID twin boys.

Read books, sing songs etc...they don't have a very long attention span so sometimes lose interest before they've finished. There is a very good tt book called Time to Pee, comes with stickers too.

To get Ethan to start sitting on the potty we use to let him watch tv. But really potty training came with time rather than anything I actively did.

I plan on buying a potty now, and getting Arianne use to what it is and just start working on TT slowly.
