so my boy has just decided he knows how to climb out of his cot the problem is he ends up in my bed at 1 ever morning......he is a very active sleeper and with me being pregs i cant sleep........the other prob is that i have the baby crib etc in our room ready for the new bub and im concerned that ty wont snap out of it by then..........he also wants to watch his movies in there wraped up in bed...this is also how he goes to bed.......im guess ing all this is to do with the heat as he is a very big boy but im going nuts............if he keeps it up then where do i put the babby? he also refuses to go to sleep during the day and gets VERY moody like anger managment styles and hits his head on anything....when i put him in the car he falls straight to sleep..........if i could afford petrol i would do this every day .

Dom's been majorly cranky with the heat too and driving me absolutely crazy during the day. So many tantrums
To me,during the day at least, it sounds like he is over tired, hot and bothered. We have camped out at home the last few days so I haven't had to put clothes on the babies. Maybe a cool bath or an iceblock before nap time to cool him dwn?
I don't know about the night time thing he is doing, other than placing him back into his cot each time he gets into your bed I wouldn't know what to do. Sorry thats not a great help.
I know just how you are feeling though, wasn't that long ago that I was pregnant and getting up mulitple times in the night to Dominic, its so exhausting.

Could you put a gate across his door so that when he does get out of bed at night at least he can't come into your room? You would obviously have to get up to put him back in the cot but if he can't get to your room maybe it will stop the habit/behaviour after a while?

Leah is waking everynight sometimes more than once. Most of the time its like night terrors so she is running down the hall screaming and shaking and the only way she will go back to sleep is in our bed......DH moves into her room on the single bed. She also won't sleep during the daay so by 4.30 she is poked and nasty on it as well.......am definately over this stage, and the heat does not help at all.

during the day before he is due for sleep he has an iceblock and he is a waterbaby so jumps in little pool and he is always running around half naked i spent literally all night one night putting him back into bed and a gate isnt an option as he climbs over everything last night we put him to bed with a sheet and nappy and he woke at 11pm screaming and this was with the fan on too..........hubby went to grab him but now the big sh*t has lost the plot and is way to over stressed that he yells at the little sh*t.........so kicked him out of room last night after 30mins of screaming i put polar express on and ty fell asleep within seconds i had to wake every hour to push him away from me though casue of the heat.............he didnt go down this morning and threw a wobbly for 1 hr this morning.........so i decided to leave him to it he finally came up and hugged me and not 10mins ago he fell asleep on the floor so put him in the single bed and gave him half a bottle cross fingers it last longer then an hour................normally if i get too exhasted i will take him to nana and pops but they have been away and are due to fly to oz next week so we arnt in a happy place

It sounds like Ty's forgotten how to self-sooth without you or the movie. Does he have any other comforting thing like a teddy or blankie?

It would mean a few hard nights, maybe even a couple of weeks, but could you wean him off the videos and just use teddy and blankie to resettle him into his cot? I know its hard and exhausting to get up multiple times during the night but soon you will be feeding during the night as well, and you don't want to have to do both. Maybe DH could do the getting up?
