Hi there, I have a one year old son and have recently found out I'm expecting twins! It was a shock!

I have to sell my wee car and get one that's big enough to fit three car seats, two adults and a double buggy and a single buggy.

I don't want a people mover / van.

Can any of you with a tribe of kids recommend a good car?

Wow congrats!!!

If you don't want a mumbus, you might have to look at a station wagon... that would be your best bet with regards to boot space. How much are you wanting to spend?
What about a Honda Stream. It's a 7 seater BUT it looks like a station wagon.
Here's one I found on TM:
Stream

Otherwise look at something like a Territory, Caldina, Mazda 6/Atenza, Holden?

Congrats!!!!

We have an opel omega and it easily fits 3 coscos rear facing across the back. i have to drive though when there is one behind the driver because my husband is too tall. Normally we have two coscos and often sit my 17year old brother in the middle. I love our car.
Holden commadores are apparently as wide as ours too. So that may be an option.
Good luck in finding the perfect car :)

We have a Holden Commodore and it easily fits 3 car seats along the back seat as well as having plenty of room in the front for the adults. Love it

Bro and SIL have a Holden Commodore and it will fit 3 car seats apparently plus it has heaps of boot room and even my tall DH has heaps of leg room. Check them out though as apparently one of the newer models to theirs is not as wide.

Congrats!

I have a Nissan Stagea and its got the biggest boot i've seen in a wagon. It fixs (and yes, dont laugh) 2 massive speakers, a really big 3 wheel stroller, bags of crap AND a weeks worth of groceries for 5 adults in it - back seats fit 2 car seats (not capsules as we dont use one for baby) and a reasonably sized adult. Its a lovely big solid car too.
