QuoteReplyTopic: Brown discharge at 5weeks? Posted: 09 August 2014 at 7:11pm
I missed my period last Wednesday and didn't think I was pregnant as we last did the deed 3days before I ovulated, know what date ..17th July and last period 27th June with 34 day cycles so today would be approx 5+2, anyways took a test and faint faint positive, then at docs confirmed again by it being faint. Last 3 days I've had a bit of brown discharge was a few specks then I just put a tampon in halfway to see what was happening and was watery type brown discharge but most didn't come out much.seems most is still up there but only bits come out, Today, whilst walking around shopping, came home to about 1/4 of a liner worth of dark brown blood/discharge.....then nothing this arvo till I wipe, had a tiny small tinge of pink. I have no pain or aches, last pregnancy didn't have much at all had a bit of brown but not this much to notice. I have a 1yr old already, and few months ago early miscarriage I was told was sooo early not to count it, me testing day befre period due and then positive then cramps and lost it, wouldn't of known if I didn't damn we'll test lol....anyways, should I be concerned...haven't got a scan till next Thursday so b just gone 6weeks by then
Hi, it's hard to say at this stage. If you wait another couple of days and take another test first thing in the morning you should either see it get darker, or still be faint (or negative). I've been pregnant twice - the first time I had brown discharge at around 6, 12 and 18 weeks (with less each time), and had a healthy son. The second time I had discharge, and my pregnancy tests didn't get darker, then after a week of spotting I had my actual miscarriage. While it is just brown blood it's not a problem, as this blood is all old. So hopefully it will go away, and you'll have a healthy pregnancy.
