I remember someone posting something about teaching boys to pull their wee diddle (lol sorry I couldn't think of any other owrd) out or something. What was the deal with that again? I've noticed Jacks now has a wee wet bit in it sometimes when I'm changing his nappy which I'm guessing is it starting to come out or something?

Sorry if this makes no sense I was just sure there was something he had to do but I can't remember what and when to do it?

TIA

Sorry no help here but I do recall coming across some kind of post about pulling something somewhere ...I hope someone can answer your question. Will be watching this thread closely.

It's quite scary how stretchy their bits are ....Lucas yanks the hell out of his, I cringe everytime he touches it, mustn't is hurt?

Some people recommend teaching boys to pull back their foreskin to stretch it to avoid it getting too tight.
I don't think its common practise any more though, my plunket nurse told me not to worry about it because most little boys take care of it by themselves out of curiosity anyway

yep, you dont need to teach him anything and you shouldnt pull it either. it doesnt hurt them, if it did they wouldnt do it...

the forsekin starts to pull back on its own and its different for all kids. but around three is average i think.

Oh I remember asking this question before Harry was born, cos DH and I were wondering about it!

I found out that if it's not totally retracting by itself, you shouldn't pull it back cos that can actually damage the little joiny part that is still joined when they're little. So to just leave it to do it's thing.

ETA: Found the thread in question and bumped it up for ya. It was way back in September!! It's in the baby section "those of you with boys"
