Hi ladies,
Just after a bit of reassurance,
I have been getting on and off a bit of lower back pain lately ( I'm six and a half months pregnant with first baby).
Yesterday however I had it along with left side pelvic pain and going down my left leg for about 8 hours. As rather uncomfortable and I used a heat lack on my back.
Just wanting to know this is normals, I've heard it is but it's hard to tell how sore means it's something to worry about.

To top it off I had an awful dream that I was bleeding and passing huge clots. Gee I was glad to wake up!

Anyone else had this?

Hi,
Sounds similar to my situation. I'm 28 weeks pregnant and the past 6 weeks I've had pain in my pelvic area/groin, moving down my left leg, and most recently in my lower back. My midwife has said this is quite common in pregnancy and due to the pelvic ligaments stretching and softening to make way for the growing uterus. Getting out of bed/in and out of car/up stairs brings it on.
As it has gotten worse in the last week, it was suggested I see an Osteopath, to help provide some relief. I saw Osteo yesterday, so will see how I go over the next week.
Always good to mention to your midwife - they may suggest some good techniques to help relieve the pain.

Sounds like it is normal. Good, I had read as much but it's always a bit alarming as it feels similar to period pain in my back.

Will mention it as next antenatal appointment next week, I'm pretty bad at remembering to mention things, must make a list!

Thanks for your reply :-)
