Topic: Any girls here with DH with low/bad sperm Posted: 30 May 2011 at 3:52pm |
Hi everyone,
Just checking to see if anyone is having problems TTC and it's because of low/bad sperm?
What are your plans, how have you gone about it?
Any advice or anything would be helpful :)

My husband had antibodies in his sperm but normal sperm count. Because of the antibodies though we can't get pg naturally. Even normal IVF doesn't work so we skipped straight to IVF with ICSI. Have two gorgeous boys now. :-)

We have MFI (male factor infertility). Very low sperm count for DH.
We went straight to IVF/ICSI - no chance of it happening any other way.
Just went through a normal round of IVF - did nothing special. Fresh egg transfer didnt work but we got one frozen. I am now half way with that pregnancy.

A fresh transfer is what you have during your first IVF cycle - "fresh" as in the embryo has just been fertilised and then gets put back in within a few days. Compared with a frozen transfer which is from a thawed embryo if you are lucky enough to have more than one embryo from your IVF cycle.

Hey Booboo
We are about to get things underway with IVF, as DH has antibodies and we have no other choice.

Yip, Im another one dealing with MFI.
We tried one round of IVF with ICSI with no luck. We then found a sperm donor and had DS who is nearly 2, We are currently doing DI (donor Insemination) in the hope of having a second. good luck with your journey

MFI here too!
Plan is for me to lose weight to get waitlisted for IVF with ICSI, and while waiting try IUI with DH doing all sorts of natural stuff to boost quality sperm production. If no dice, proceed to IVF-ICSI. No dice there, try donor sperm, egg issues means selling the house and going to San Diego for donor eggs.

MFI here as well. We are due to have our first IVF/ICSI in Nov 2011 after nearly an 18 month wait on the waiting list for public funded.
We were referred to FA by my Dr.
