I understand your worries, my fundal height actually measured normal size but my baby was in the lower 5th percentile. What i found out from my midwife is that the measurements are + or - 20%! This made a large difference as when my daughter was born 3 weeks early, ( i had Gest Diabetes) they were expecting her to be 4 pound 8oz but she was actually 5 pound 4oz. I wouldn't be to concerned, When i was 36 weeks i was measure 32cm, i've had numerous growth scans and all show bub about 1-2 weeks small (but both me and my husband are small) so i've got a personalise chart now that baby mneasures normal on even slightly bigger. You usually do a growth scan 2 weeks apart to make sure the baby is growing the required rate between the two scans.

I've have 2 small for dates babies & my first just escaped basically cause charting wasn't as good as it is now. It does do your head in, and scans do give you peace of mind.

As you're the same amount of weeks behind as you were, I'd not worry too much, definitely get another scan. They measure important things like blood flow and the fluid levels around the baby as well as the baby's actual size.

I think I was about 5 weeks behind with my last? She's just really short, but funnily she was my heaviest baby.

I had several scans at the end of each of my pregnancies due to my fundal height measuring small (I think it was between 2 -4 cm smaller than expected).  Each time the scan actually estimated very large babies - the truth was somewhere in between.  The first pregnancy i was really worried (first with the small measurement and then the much larger scan estimate!!) but with the second pregnancy I decided it was just the way I must carry, although I still had the scans to make sure all was looking ok.

DS1 was induced at 37.3 weeks and was 7 pound 6 (3.2 kgs), 2 days earlier the scan estimate had been over 9 pound
DS2 was born at 38.6 weeks and was 8 pound 6 (3.6 kgs), again a scan a week or so before had estimated him well over 9 pounds

So my advice would be try not to worry (of course easier said than done), the fundal height has grown (and at the expected rate if you are still only 2cm behind).  Although if offered another scan I would probably go for one just for the reassurance.

Hi Everyone. I am 36wks pregnant, and have just been to see my midwife. She measured my fundal height and I was 34cm, which means I'm 2cm small for my dates. I had a growth scan at 32wks, because I was 2cm small at my previous midwife appointment, and it all came back fine, but the midwife asked me if they had booked me for a follow up growth scan. Hi,
I am 12 weeks tomorrow with our first bubba and getting first scan, nervous/excited/nervous/excited. We are so excited about it all. Found out we were pregnant just before our (delayed) honeymoon so no beautiful south african wine for me but oh well it's all worth it. Due date is 25th June 2013.

Hi everyone - I've just joined in the May group but thought I'd post here as well as I don't expect too many mums to be in the Wanaka area???

"I'm new here. First baby due May 13 and a friend suggested I join OhBaby. We're currently in Chch but moving to Wanaka at the end of Feb (29 weeks) so keen to meet up with any mums in the Wanaka area. We're also building a house that alas won't be finished in time for bubs and i don't fancy living in the barn with a newborn! So were going to be doing a few juggling acts with rental places so that I can have a kitchen and laundry. Nothing like doing everything all at once!!

Looking forward to our anatomy scan in 2 weeks and were going to find out if its blue or pink. We're actually going to get the technician to write it down on a card and place it in an envelope for Xmas day. We figured it would be a nice surprise seeing as Xmas is only a week after our scan.

Are there any other young mums out there I'm feeling kind of alone as my family and friends aren't overly supportive and I don't feel I can talk to them even though they say I can. The only person I really trust and can talk to is my boyfriend he's so helpful and supportive which is really good. I was wondering if there were any other teens out there who are pregnant? Hi all,

My EDD is 17 June 13, have a midwife appt this week and hopefully get to hear a heart beat. Scan is booked for the 10th - were getting NT done. Hopefully i find out soon if i need to see a specialist due to having letz procedure done Feb this year!

I'm really new to OhBaby - we are expecting our first baby (together) on 27 June 2013. My 8 year old was born via c-section in 2004 and so I've been told I'll need to go under a specialist.
Middlemore were great last time and so I'm thinking just going under them - however would really appreciate any feedback (positive or otherwise) about specialists in Auckland...

Hi everyone today I found out I am pregnant!! My partner and I have been trying for nearly 2 years so I am still in shock, a friend recommended me joining an OH BABY forum so here I am! Haven't been to a doctor yet so unsure of due date etc. but my last period was Sept 14th, so guessing that makes me 6 weeks ish?!? Tested a week ago and the line was so faint thought not a lot of it, then today two very positive tests. First child and unbelievably excited but nervous at the same time. Well that's good to know! In that case... hope this non-sickness lasts!! It kicked in big time at about 8 weeks last time. Would be quite happy to skip that :-)

Well I went to an early pregnancy clinic today (they said they would monitor me after miscarraige last time)... and I got to see a little fluttering heartbeat. 
Certainly doesn't look like much in there! But it's THERE :-)

They put my due date back a few days so now due 9th June. Yay!

I'm feeling really good!
Actually, it's worryig me a bit - the last time I was exhausted, nauseous, very sore chest, and huge skin breakouts. My skin broke out a lot last week and seems to be clearing up. I am wondering if my hormones are fizzling out and we're in for more bad news this time.
Waiting for an appointment hopefully next week some time for an 8 week scan, will see how we go.
I think last time the nausea really hit during week 8, and ramped right up then.
Fingers crossed!

I found it REALLY hard to keep the secret first time round, this time much easier. Also, being overseas makes it a lot easier to not tell family. We're going to surprise them when we come home at Christmas with the news.

I am dyyyyying to tell my family but dont wana do it over phone/skype, and I dont wana tell friends incase it gets back to my parents. Its my first too.

Hi everyone,
Wow there's lots of us already
We are due 5th June (snap with many of you!)
Had a miscarriage in March this year (at 12 weeks) in my first pregnancy, but we're happily back on the horse, yay!
We live overseas, but will be home in NZ by the time this baby arrives (if, fingers crossed, it sticks). Things are done differently here. I'm being put through an early pregnancy clinic because of the miscarriage first time around, so hopefully will get a scan around 8 weeks. Did our test at 5 weeks, both over the moon!

Looking forward to the next months with you,

I had a scan on wednesday which only put me in my 4th week,amazing considering I tested positive,with a nice dark line which came up really quickly and at 6pm,two weeks ago,I always get early results.

Unfortunately we had some bad news today... Tuesday last week my HCG was 96 and today it was a lowly 3, so little Egbert is now longer with us
I'm doing fine though, obviously sad but am still grateful to have accomplished what our IVF Dr didn't think was possible!

Dunedinite - I only knew my HCG levels because we had done IVF and they get you to do blood tests every few days to monitor the levels and chart the progress.
You could ring your doctor and ask for the hcg results from your blood test and if they didn't check for that then if you really want to know you could ask them to refer you for HCG bloods, however, they only really mean anything if they are taken over a period of time as it is the amount they are increasing by that is being monitored.
I could be wrong but I don't think that they worry about it too much if you have conceived naturally unless you have a history of miscarrages.

Hi everyone

I got a BFP on Fri after TTC 8 months. For those of you who've got bloods back - did they contact you & tell you your results, or did you have to ring & ask? I had a blood test Mon but doc said it was to find out my blood type, so I feel like a bit of a knob if I ring up asking for HCG levels and they say, "er, you're o+"! I'm due 12 June.

Im due June (I THINK,af has been irregular) possibly round the 15th with baby number 4,I have a 10 year old a 3.5 year old and a 19month old,and the first two are also june babies :-S
This pregnancy was a bit of a surprise,but we are stoked and excited and freaked out all rolled into one.

Hi Everyone
After 5 years, 3 operations for endo and fibroids we've just taken a punt on IVF that our Doctor didn't think would work (due to 0 AMH) but said we should try so that when we went on to use donor eggs we wouldn't look back and wonder "what if"...
We got our big fat positive on Friday, woohoo! Might have to call it Phil Collin(s) - Against All Odds, hahaha!
By my calculations our due date will be the 7th of June.
After all the odds being stacked against us I am still quite stunned that we are actually pregnant.
