Hi everyone - congratulations to all of the new Mums and welcome to the babies :-)

We are really enjoying our daughter, her name is Stella Annabelle and was born after induction on 17th of May, 8lb 5oz. I had pre eclampsia (hence the induction) and a blood transfusion the day after birth so some complications but much better now!

MW coming to see us tomorrow , Stella weighed 4.2kgs at last visit :O MW said I must have full cream milk :D

hi! missangel thomas is totally gorgeous!! what a cutie!! I guess I am the only one left in here now still in one piece?? Been having contractions on and off since last week - yest went for long walk on the beach and they started up again with gusto,
I was in quite a lot of pain, but of course they stopped the moment I sat in the car!! I am very very happy to announce that Sue had a little boy yesterday.

Keiran Andrew was born at 5.37pm weighing a very healthy 4.5kgs

Mum and baby are both doing well.

Could you get your partner to tell visitors to hold off for a few days so you can get your bearings?
I mean you have been thru a lot to get him here and you probably need time to just chill out and take in this lil bubs you now have
And i dont blame you for telling the person trying to give you advice to bugger off, thats the last thing Id want after I just brought my baby home, you need time to figure things out for yourself to start with.

Well heres the little monster himself:



He's doing really well, I had a hell of a rough time. I'm only at home really cuz I was stressing so badly at the hospital that they decided home was the best place for me. I had a nasty reaction to the epidural, but managed to overcome that - but everything seems to be going alright for now.

Mazzy - the visitors have been completely overwhelming - one of them quickly was told to F-off after trying to tell me what to do (I was NOT in the right frame of mind) I think the most annoying thing is they come and visit, but spend most of their time talking to each other instead of talking to me, but oh well. Gone a bit quiet in here - guess everyone has gone to have their babies or is looking after their babies. Except for me.....    Oh well, induction tomorrow night.

Found out last night that my mum is in hospital and has been since Tuesday. Was getting a bit worried as I hadn't heard from her. My dad played it down when I spoke to him and said she has a virus and made it sound like she'd gone in yesterday and would be out today. Spoke to my mum this morning and she's not very well at all. And the worst part is I can't go and visit her - she's down in Hawera Hospital. And I don't know how long it's going to be before she gets to meet bubs. She's so excited about becoming a gran and now this happens. Ariana William is so gorgeous.

Nothing happening for me at the mo. DP tried driving me round on bumpy roads yesterday in his car with really hard suspension but that didn't work. He's having the day off again today so we've just had a lovely walk on the beach with the dog. It's nice having some special time together. Going grocery shopping with him soon - he always plays up when we do that and embarresses me, but it's good for a laugh.

what a gorgeous pic of william!! totally cute!

well things started happening for me tuesday lunchtime, with regular back pains. started having mild contractions at 15min apart at bout 5, then they stopped again until about 8.30, then after about 3 they stopped again...then started again...then stopped again!!!!! etc etc!!! started having 7 min apart ones during the night but again would only have a couple then they would stop. Got very frustrated yest afternoon n had a bit of a cry. Saw midwife and she did an internal, and discovered that my cervix was nearly fully effaced and i was 1cm dilated! Doesn't sound like much but boy was I glad that it hadn't all been in vain! ONly had a few contractions since then, I'm really hoping that things pick up today. Have turned into a SUC (Serial Undies Checker)!

Any news from anyone else?

Still in one piece as well. Yesterday had heaps of contractions and very uncomfortable. Spoke to midwife twice and both times she told me to stay home until they got really bad. And then the usual happened - it all stopped again overnight. I'm so tired of this. oooh the phonecalls and txts... yip i rememebr those, feel bad for you guys that are getting them, the thing that erks me the most is they hassle you heaps until they hear news then theres NOTHIING! or is that just me?
my phones have been so quiet since having toby- makes me feel a bit lonely and stink, like he's hear now, we'll find the next pregannt person to hassle! lol, be nice to be thought about again! gosh you cant win with me!!!

I'm just gonna sit here quietly now tho, else all i'll do is complain :P I'm getting like, 50 million phonecalls everyday from people asking if he's here yet. I told them all that i'd text/ring AFTER he comes and i've got home - but people always have to ring everyday in case they're missing out - what is with that? lol! Sarah, I've been thinking about you, it's great to see you back. Caleb is a stunner - look at all that hair! He's gorgeous. Try not to worry about the weight gain, although I know it's hard. A friend of mine who had her wee boy a day after I had Isla had the same thing and he's thriving now, just took a while to put on weight. Have you tried making lactation cookies? I'll see if I can find the recipe for you, they are fantastic for boosting milk supply.

Well I've been having pains and twinges for ages now, but today I had to go for (ok this may be TMI and I'm sorry!!!) number twos twice, and the second time it was very diahorrea-like. Plus I am on Iron tablets which normally sends you the other direction! Have also been having a lot of back pain today as well as my usual tightenings and 'period' pains. Hi everyone! As some of you already know, I had my beautiful baby girl at 9.58am this morning!
Erika arrived after just over 4 & a half hours of labour, is 8 pound 15 ounces & I had her naturally as a home waterbirth just like I wanted!
I can't believe I did it & I had her on my due date even

Hi ladies, has been a while since I have been able to come on and check on everyone! Have had a bit of a mixed week. After arriving at such a whopper size my wee man lost a pound and as of Friday still hadnt put any back on! MW was quite concerned. Spent all last week and weekend trying so hard to stay calm and keep my milk going and trying not to panic! Hopefully when she comes to weigh him tomorrow he will have put something on!!

Realise I still havnt told you about the birth. Maybe one day soon I will get a minute!

Well DP came home very apologetic last night. He did feel really stink about leaving me, but the pressure from his sponsors and not wanting to let people down kinda pushed him into going. He won the first race, but had mechanical problems in the 2nd. He's just lucky that I really love him.

I really thought it was going to happen yesterday - had lots of contractions - had one really nasty one that lasted 2 minutes then peaked again twice so went for 6 mins all up. Was about to call midwife but didn't want to be calling too soon so I waited a while and things settled down again. And as usual it all stopped overnight - just the odd painful contractions. Yea I dunno.. I'm having very mixed feelings about this whole induction thing I went thru - should they really have sent me home? Or should they have started me on the IV to make me start contracting properly? I'm pretty confused about it all. It really pisses me off cuz poor Matt was so excited, and didnt sleep for like, 24hrs and then nothing happened, so I felt like I hadnt done my job properly - if you know what I mean?
So now I'm back to complaining about feeling incredibly sh*t (feel really sick all the time, getting tightenings that are stopping me from being able to do very much) and the poor guy has to go back to work! My Hubby has gone too (on his bike) but I'm okay with that.... Is this first Bubs Sue? (sorry can't remember). I remember being totally the same with my first, Hubby would put me in tears all the time because he would go out with mates & I was really anxious to have him at home because I was paranoid I wouldn't have him there in time.
