We're with Southern Cross too, we have UltraCare so basically everything is covered except optical and dental. Because I've had it since I was a kid there are no pre-existing condition exclusions and I also qualify for loyalty benefits such as obstetrics. I added all three girls when they were newborns and they've covered everything - Maya's allergies, Mercedes reflux, Sienna's kidney, not to mention the literally hundreds of GP/after hours visits the three of them have clocked up. I wouldn't be without it.

ETA: Ours isn't cheap, around $195 a month, but since the gremlins arrived I haven't had a single month where my claims have been less than my premiums.

Yeah I went with Southern Cross Wellbeing too - decided I didn't need GP cover (don't go that often) or some of the other add ons. We are with southern cross and on the well beinging 2 plan. God I seem to be starting a million topics in here at the moment...

Ok seeing as me and DH are not getting any younger and we have another on the way ( fingers crossed) I thought it was about time we got health insurnance incase one of us needs surgery etc especially the kids
