Our antenatal class suggested putting one under baby's head to catch spills etc when it is sleeping so you dont have to change the sheets as often. they are good for when the matress protector is in the wash just fold them up and put under head.

At my antenatal class they told us that flat cloths also make great spare bassinet sheets for those fun nights when bubs has peed through three sets of sheets already

Oh, and as wraps for winter babies too, and bath towels if need be.

flat cloths are invaluable! I've found cloth flats indispensable too. Just bought a dozen of these off TM for use as dribble cloths etc. It was $20 for 12 (I haven't found them in shops for less than $30-odd for 12) which included courier delivery and I'm stoked with the quality of them and how fast they arrived! Oh, obviously they're brand new ones, not secondhand.

PM me if you want the trader's username, otherwise they should be fairly easy to find if you're searching around on there.
