It is best to take the bottle of medicine back to the doctor and ask for a new sticker for the bottle. The dose is calculated at 15mg per kilogram - but if your not sure how to work that out then dont do it

edited to add this is for babies over 3 months - but you shouldnt be giving babies under 6 months paracetamol without a doctors prescription

I took DS3 to the Dr last night & got Paracetamol he is 26kg & his dose is for 7.5ml to 10ml 4x a day max. He has the pink one & it is 120mg in 5 ml strength.

I asked the chemist how much I could give my other 2 & he worked it out to around 10-15 for the 35kg child.

I would go off what the Dr has prescribed as a dose rather than a chart. even without consecutive days, One dose thats too high is super dangerous too. These charts are great but as someone else said Max dose - always phone for a pharmacists advice if your babe is a little bigger than last time you gave a dose - even healthline can give the correct dose if its in the middle of the night if you arent sure

These doses are correct for the 120 strength but if your child has a condition or is on meds always check first
On average one child a week is admitted to hospital for incorrect paracetamol dosage - liver toxicity is super nasty!

Also thats maximum dosage, feel free to use less if you know it will work for your child.

Yeah I'd def check with a pharmarcist before going with this guide, just incase you have a different strength.. It doesn't really vary too much unless they are putting on lots of weight.. I don't know abouts others' medicine droppers/syringes, but ours doesn't go in 0.1 amounts.. so we've always just gone with the whole amount.. Just checked abby bottle that was prescribed in May and it has on the back pretty much along the same lines as two blondinis and peace just not as much detail-

0-5kg   up to 3ml
5-10kg 3 to 6ml
10-15kg 6-9ml
15-20kg 9-12.5ml

Abby's only 12 Kilos and she is allowed 6-7 ml
