i still always mouthwash while pregs, i cant brush my teeth and not mouthwash it doesnt feel right lol.

I had the same thought with mouthwash? I was using it to get rid of the puke taste, but then realised it contained alcohol. I wasn't swallowing it, but decided to stop using it anyway. I think the mouth would absorb alcohol more readily than hands?

It might depend on the brand with regards to drying. I used one when I was pregnant with haleigh as I was working with food.
but I ofund it very bad at drying out my skin.

heheheh nzpiper - I use it all day, but I dont work in health!! My DH thinks I am OCD....I just try to use it after I have touched the cats a lot, or their food!

It will be fine, it evaporates really quickly so I would be surprised if any gets absorbed through your skin. Hi everyone,

Probably a weird question, but do you think its ok to use Hand Sanitiser in pregnancy? I have been using it a lot over the past few weeks after i touch my cats as i found soap and water too drying.

Yesterday i realised its Ethyl Alcholol (sorry very bad spelling!) and i suddenly wondered it its ok to use on hands? I use about the size of a pea or less at any one time.
