You can have contractions that come and go, often in the case of bubby not being in quite the right place e.g. posterior. It's called early labour and in my labour of Briona I had it on and off for 30 hours

The test is, are the "contractions" getting longer and closer together. I agree Contractions dont go away...no matter what you do...Oh yah...I tried!! If you can do anything to make it go away, it's BH - be it lying down or moving around.
