I'm not parenting a child who has cystic fibrosis, but I have a friend who has it. She's 30, just had a lung transplant and is in training to run a half marathon. Hey, I am a young mum to be!

My partners niece has cystic fibrosis, both parents were carriers. My partner has also been tested and he is a carrier too.

My partners niece is living life every day to the full, she has a gorgeous little boy, has just bought her first house and is due to be married in December, she has a great outlook in life and is always happy! Life can be tough and certain conditions can make it difficult but she deals with it in the best way she can for her. September's weather in Australia affects her severly so she leaves for the month! She spent a month in Thailand with her family seeing the sights and relaxing! Why not i say!
