Yes, definitely was a heartbeat, even the sonographer pointed it out. I'm starting to think at my 12 week scan I'll measure according to my LMP dates again.

I had exactly the same issue only a few weeks ago - thought I was 6.3 days but I was only 5 weeks! Sometimes it's the angle of measurement. Not sure when they can move, but when I went in for my 8 week scan this one was measuring a week behind. It's pretty unusual to see a heartbeat that early on as far as I know. I had a scan at 5wks 4 days and could see the yolk sac and fetal pole but that was all. This may be a stupid question but are you sure there was a heartbeat? Hi all

I went for a dating scan last night. I thought I was 6.5 weeks (according to my dates from LMP) however sonagrapher said I measured at 5.5wks. That's no problem to me but it the dawned on me that I thought a heartbeat and fetal pole wouldn't be visable (abdominal scan) until 6.5wks at least.
