Reffinej - totally agree! But we might need to start lobbying for better neutral clothing options. Woman in my antenatal group was told girl at 20 weeks, only to have a growth scan at 37 weeks and find out they had wasted money on pink.

I'm super paranoid about this too!
We have been given so much girly stuff since we found out we were having a girl (should have kept my mouth shut!)

Our scan lady said the same, said girl and then gave us a big speak about how it's never 100% and that she recently scanned someone who was told at 19 weeks girl and when she scanned her at 24 told her it was a boy. It definitely happens (I know someone who had the 'they said he was a girl' scenario... although I think it's the same person as mummydee mentioned). I know of a girl who was told she was having a girl only to have a boy!

Oh well, she seemed to think it had girly bits and three lines but at the end of the day as long as it's happy and healthy that's all that matters.

Have got a couple of pink outfits, and have DS newborn stuff so will be sorted either way.

I've had a few friends who have been for their scan wanting to find out the sex. And the person doing the scan has said outright they can't see what it is, and have had to go back another time. They have only said when theyre certain even though they can never say they are 100%.

The sonographer for both my girls was pretty confident and said that she wouldn't have said girl unless she was pretty certain. I always had that little bit of doubt with both of them until they came out

So we had an ultrasound at 22 weeks today and wanted to find out sex. At the end the woman said "that looks like girly bits to me' and then said "three lines" but later went on to say nothing is 100 per cent accurate, which I understand completely.

It sounded like she was pretty certain but just giving the usual speil about how sometimes there are mistakes, but wondering what you think? Would they go as far as saying looks like a girl if they weren't pretty sure?
