Our home-based daycare lady has just told me her terms of payment over xmas where she takes her holidays. Which basically is - full payment as normal for 3 weeks where I have to find someone else to look after DD!

Thought this was a bit off so I have asked someone I know with another organization (porse) and they pay them the STAT days (fair enough, not the carers 'fault' its a holiday!) but they dont pay them the days they are taking off as 'leave' - which sounds much more reasonable.

What is the story with other people?
