i think its great I would deffinently use it next time.

Is the weight chart based on breast or formula fed babies? There is a different pattern of growth. Is it taken from NZ or international data? Eg are we comparing NZ babies with NZ babies? Or is the purpose just to show on a graph the weight with no interpretation?


ETA:

I've just had a go at putting in the data. I find it quite hard to interpret. It says something like '99.6th percentile.' My daughter has pretty much tracked along the 15th most of her life so I find that strange.

love the feedback we will ad other ones soon and yes pregnancy weight gain could be okay - but it's controversial too - don't want women being obsessed with their weight gain - as a healthy baby is more important :)

I have just tried to use it by using the data from both my girls plunket books up to 8 months (which is the age of my youngest). The percentile results seemed to be quite different. Plunket books had them both sitting at just about the 50th %ile at 8months where as your graph had them much higher. I also found it hard to work out some of the data in their age in weeks. It would be useful if when you input the data it had an equivalent age in months.
I enjoyed doing it though and found it really interesting and I would keep inputting the data to keep track of both. If it was possible to export the information to an email to email to grandparents it would be even better! Quite useful for those of us that can never find our Plunket books :-) I do think, however, that parents can become unnecessarily concerned/consumed with how much their baby/child weighs. Hi ladies!
We're playing with some new features for the site for you and would love your thoughts on this new tool we've made :)

It is basically a weight/height tracker much like you graph on your well child book but you can also put in multiple children so you can see how they have all tracked along :)

We'd love your feedback please - it is just the girl weight/height chart at the moment -but once we get that perfect from your feedback we will roll out the rest :)

So please tell us what you like, don't like, what you'd like to see it do etc
