Cost of Jadelle will be standard at Family Planning clincs across the country. There is a fee of around $20 to cover the cost of disposables.
Under 22 a visit to a Family Planning Clinic is free.
Over 22 and with a Community Services Card a visit costs $5.50
Over 22 and no CSC a visit cost $23.

Spoke to my midwife here today and they aren't done here and I would have to go to Dunedin to the family planning centre and she said they found out yesterday that even being subsidised it would cost $112!! plus the $120 or so it would cost us to fill up the car enough to get to and from dunedin so about $230 for us so its a no!

if you are under 24, your appts at family planning are free. if you are 24 or over you have to pay for the appt.

my DR charges $90 + a first consult with the doc of $32. im pretty sure everyone gets it for free as it is government subidiesed . i just had to pay for 2 family planning apointments at about $45 each but i think these are free or very cheap if you have a community services card, one was a first intial apoinment to make sure it was what suited me best , then i went on a waitng list and the next apointment was the implantaion of the rods .
