Since I've only had it in a few months they might want me to keep it longer. Id heard of it moves i wouldn't be able to feel it?

The iud doesn't stop conception from occurring (though some are hormonally impregnated from what I understand), they stop the egg from implanting in your uterus, (so an ectopic preg is still possible). I would definitely go see a Dr & get some bloods done, you may get referred for an ultrasound, as with any form of contraception it's not 100%. Sorry but your description of bright & mucus-y sounds like what I had with my early mc.

    Author: RicKer
Subject: 39387
Posted: 30 May 2011 at 8:33pm

This is probably completely normal but i haven't experienced it so thought i would ask anyway.
To start i have an IUD in and have had it for approx 3-4 months. A week after my last AF ended my partner got the chance for a weekend away which of course means BDing. I don;t know why but afterward i got some nasty cramps and pains and started bleeding. I assumed it was something to do with my IUD and the pain and bleeding disappeared after a day or so so i brushed it off. The past week and a half my breasts have been incredibly sore. To the point i can feel something brush against the nipple through a padded bra and top/sweatshirt (and i mean lightly brush). Also been extra tired with dabs of reflux. The past 3-4days I've been starving. No matter what and wake up feeling as if i haven't eaten in days. Typical pregnancy signs for me. I knew i couldn't be pregnant so went on as my body messing with me. AF arrived a couple days late but this is what has me stumped. Its not as heavy as usual but it's not light either. Its also bright pink and lots of cm/mucus. Its normally dark red/brown.
Anyone experienced this? I'm sure its normal but after having regular and typical AF's since i was 12 it took me by surprise.
Thanks
