Do you own your own home? We invested in an HRV a few years ago & its brilliant - we used to have full windows of condensation all day, plus pools on the sils, now we are lucky to get 2-3cm of condensation..
Other than a rather high set up cost it costs next to nothing to run (haven't noticed it in the power bill)

If you use a dehumidifier you safe on heating costs. It feels a lot less cold when the humidity disappears from the air (and curtains, carpet, sofa, clothes). It helps us tremendously to dry our washing in the cold winter days when the sun does not come out a lot here in Lower Hutt.
What bothers me most about dehumidifiers is the noise they create when running them. But you could always turn them on as soon as you leave the house and switch it off when you get back.
I'd definetely get one, so worth it!

OUr dehumidifier goes 24/7 and i dont think our bills are too bad.

I know this should be in the product review section but I thought it would get more views here.
DH ans I are thinking of buying a dehumidifer but hes concerned it would be quite expensive to run. So my question is if you have a dehumidifer do you find it expensive to run?
