Thanks for that, I have rung them and we are on the waiting list now, they said we may be seen immediately or not until the second semester.

Lea I would recommend that you phone the Department of Communication Disorders at Canterbury University. They run a campus clinic that uses both staff and students (students are well supervised). I'm not sure what clinics they are running at the moment but they would be a great source of information if they can't actually book you in to see someone there. It does cost but from memory the cost was certainly reasonable - and you have the bonus of generally seeing people who are up with the latest research.

Can anyone recommend a good paediatric speech therapist in Chch? My so turned 2 in January, his speech is quite delayed, we saw a therapist at minisrty of ed in Jan but they wont do anything for 6 months so they can then determine how severe his delay is.
