Miss is not yet interested in using a fork just her hands, i guess its also good for her hand eye co-ordination. I hired a book on baby led weaning so we will see what that has to say also. <br />fingers crossed <img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0"> tried the spoon again this morning but she didnt even look at it <img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley7.gif" border="0"> gets so frustrating sometimes, but got to do what we got to do]]>

It would make a mess, but babies tend to anyway!<br /><br />Jacob (also almost eight months) also inhales raw salmon off sushi - I know fish won't have as much iron as red meat, but it might be worth a shot (and Jacob has a lot of fun with it, I think he likes the texture)<br /><br />I really wouldn't worry about it, though. Some people do 'baby-led-weaning' which means they don't use puree and if they do use spoons, they pre-load them and give them to the baby to put in their mouths, and their babies do just fine. I'm sure she'll get what she needs. ]]>
